This indicator includes all adults who have completed a high school diploma, including those who also have some college or a postsecondary degree.

Higher levels of educational attainment are associated with multiple lifetime benefits, including higher earnings, lower levels of unemployment, improved health, and increased civic engagement, among other benefits. A high school diploma is increasingly necessary for stable, living wage employment and is required for pursuing postsecondary educational opportunities.Â
